Scott’s been practising acupuncture and Chinese medicine for more than 25 years, and these days he’s one of the most experienced acupuncturists in the Tamworth region. His main focus is musculoskeletal conditions and pain management — the kind of stuff that doesn’t shift with rest alone, whether that’s an old sporting injury, chronic back or neck pain, or something more recent that’s just not settling down.
What sets Scott apart is how he blends acupuncture with hands-on bodywork. Depending on what’s going on, a session might involve acupuncture, electro-acupuncture, remedial or sports massage, cupping, moxibustion, or acupressure — he tailors it to the person in front of him rather than running the same treatment for everyone.
Scott’s spent a good chunk of his career working pitch-side and trackside, treating sporting teams, running and athletic clubs, and surf lifesaving clubs, including pre- and post-event care. So if you’re an athlete dealing with a niggle that won’t go away, he’s very much used to that world. He also has a particular clinical interest in neurological conditions, alongside the general musculoskeletal and pain work that makes up most of his days.
Qualifications
Scott is AHPRA registered, a member of AACMA, and a recognised private health rebate provider — so most extras policies will cover his sessions.
His approach is straightforward: figure out what’s actually going on, tailor the treatment to the individual, and work toward the best outcome for that person specifically.
