Here at Massage Land in Tamworth, we are expanding our services and taking a more holistic approach to optimise your health, well-being and recovery. We are now offering both lifestyle and sports nutrition consultations via Telehealth.

What can you expect to cover in a lifestyle nutrition consultation?

A nutritionist will work with you to optimise your health and wellbeing. Additionally, a nutritionist can help you reduce the risk of developing diet-related diseases such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and obesity. In a consultation we will work together to create a plan that meets your energy needs and suits your lifestyle. Furthermore, your plan will include a wide variety of food groups that meet the Australian Guide to Healthy Eating guidelines. By doing so you will be able to notice an increase in energy and concentration, regular bowel movements, improved gut health and maintaining a healthy weight.

  • Pre-consult questionnaire with an in depth medical history assessment and a 2-day food diary recall.
  • Diving deep into your current lifestyle and eating behaviours and your goals.

What can you expect to cover in a sports nutrition consultation?

Sports nutrition differs from lifestyle nutrition as we are looking to optimise your athletic performance, recovery and meal timing. Your sports nutritionist will calculate your specific energy needs based off your gender, weight, height, activity levels and training schedule. From here, adjustments will be made to help the athlete achieve their desires body composition goals too. (eg fat loss, muscle gain or body recomposition (aka a combination of both fat loss and muscle growth).

How can a sports nutrition consultation help me?

If you struggle to feel energised throughout your training, you could potentially be under fuelling. Ensuring you are eating adequate amounts of energy is crucial.
